Delete all emails at once in Mutt

In the index (the screen where you can see the inbox), press:

Shift + D

In the command line (at the bottom of the index), you should see:

Delete messages matching: 

type:

~A

which selects all messages.

Then, quit Mutt by pressing the key q.

You should see:

Purge [number] deleted messages? ([yes]/no): 

Press y to confirm.

Note: you can press Ctrl+G to exit Mutt’s command line.
